A SISTER'S STORY

A Servant of the Holy Heart of Mary is a woman who has experienced the call of the Lord in her heart. This call to surrender the totality of her love to the Lord is accepted as she clothes herself in the lifestyle of religious commitment.

Prayer, community, and apostolate are ways that a Servant of the Holy Heart of Mary expresses her love for God and for the people of God to whom she ministers. The vows of poverty, chastity and obedience bond a Servant of the Holy Heart of Mary to her sisters in the Church.

Together the Servants of the Holy Heart of Mary live the spirit of faith, the spirit of self-giving, and the spirit of family love, a heritage handed down to them from Father François Delaplace and Mother Marie Moisan.

It is this spirit of faith, family love and self-giving that the Servants of the Holy Heart of Mary share with those they serve and with whom they minister.
